Who We Are

​

Porthleven Town Band began back in 1866 and has been providing music for the community ever since. From local traditions like the Torchlight Procession to playing outside the Harbour Inn on a Sunday evening, the band has become a staple of the village it is proud to represent, in Cornwall and further afield. 

We have recently been promoted to second section and enjoy competing twice a year in Torquay at the South West Brass Band Association Championships and West of England Brass Band Association championships. Take a look at our social media to follow our journey and keep up to date on our progress.
